  • When is Nanogam used?

    Nanogam is used when there is a question of hereditary (congenital) or acquired immunodeficiency disorders, whereby regular infections occur. Being treated with Nanogam can prevent or treat infections.

    Nanogam is also used to treat a disrupted immune system, such as idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), Guillain Barré syndrome, Kawasaki disease, Multifocal Motor Neuropathy (MMN) and Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP).

  • How is Nanogam used?

    Nanogam is an infusion solution to be administered intravenously.

  • What dosage of Nanogam is administered?

    The dosage depends on the patient’s condition and body weight. If a patient administers Nanogam him/herself, the prescriber will determine the dosage and the infusion rate.

  • How is Nanogam administered?

    Nanogam is intended to be administered intravenously.

    • Remove the vial from the refrigerator and allow it to reach room temperature.
    • The solution is clear or slightly opalescent (almost translucent).
    • Do not use any solution that is turbid or contains precipitations.
    • Dependent on the dosage, more than one vial may be used. 
    • You can transfer the contents of multiple vials into an ethyl vinyl acetate bag (Clintec® EVA bag for parenteral nutrition, Baxter).
    • Administer Nanogam directly from a vial or an ethyl vinyl acetate bag.
  • How should Nanogam be stored?

    • out of reach and sight of children
    • in the refrigerator at 2 - 8 °C (therefore, do not freeze)
    • in the original packaging to protect it from the light

    Nanogam can be stored at or below a temperature of 25°C for up to six months, without impairing its efficacy.

    Advise your patient to make a note on the package of the date when the product first reached room temperature. If Nanogam has been stored at room temperature for six months and not used, it must be disposed of.

    Not to be used after the expiry date

    Do not use Nanogam after its expiry date. This is stipulated on the label (on the vial) and on the box.

    Hand Nanogam over to a pharmacy

    Patients can hand any used medicines over to a pharmacy. By not disposing of medicines via waste water or household waste, we are helping to protect the environment.
